Second Class Rank Emblem
The Second Class Scout Badge is earned after completing the Second Class Rank requirements and after earning the first two Scouts BSA ranks: Tenderfoot and Scout rank. It is the third of 7 possible ranks in Scouts BSA. The ranks for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class cover skills in camping, hiking, cooking, first aid, nature, fitness, aquatics, citizenship and leadership. Scouts will have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old OR are at least 11 years old OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old. Participants may continue to work on Scouting advancement until reaching their 18th birthday.
