Shauna Kaye Humphreys was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree and a master of arts degree in English. As a professional editor and teacher, she has taught in the public schools and has also taught writing and composition courses at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Shauna has served as a stake Primary president, as a counselor in Relief Society, and as a teacher in various Church auxiliaries. She has also taught early-morning seminary for many years and currently enjoys team-teaching a Gospel Doctrine class with her dear husband, Rick. They live in Birch Bay, Washington, and share the joys of their combined family of nine children and thirteen grandchildren.
