The Complete Christian **
Throughout history, prophets have looked forward to the era they described as the fulness of times. Though we live in a time of darkened understanding and corrupt behavior, the Lord has promised that those who firmly seize the gospel message shall be preserved and experience a fulness of joy. Drawing from his own experiences, Elder Robert S. Wood describes how the fulness of the gospel can become part of our daily living and transform our lives so we become complete Christians. He discusses coming to a true understanding of gospel principles, developing true character, exemplifying true discipleship, and grounding all we do in true faith. As we grow, the Lord's blessings await us!
Elder Robert S. Wood was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy in April 1999. He is known in civic, government, and academic circles as a thoughtful commentator and teacher on international affairs, national security policy, and strategic theory. He was dean of the Center for Naval Warfare Studies at the U.S. Naval War College, held the Chester W. Nimitz Chair of National Security and Foreign Affairs, and twice served as Director of the Chief of Naval Operations' Strategic Studies Group. Elder Wood received a bachelor's degree in history from Stanford and master's and doctoral degrees from Harvard University. He and his wife, Dixie, are the parents of four daughters.
