In his work as a professor of family life, he developed many creative and award-winning programs, as well as a public television series. Wally has written or cowritten over a dozen books and has received the Outstanding Family Life Educator Award.

H. Wallace (Wally) Goddard has had a wealth of professional experience. He earned a PhD in family and human development from Utah State University. In his work as an Extension professor, he developed many creative and award-winning family programs for Auburn University and the University of Arkansas. Those programs include Principles of Parenting, The Great Self Mystery, The Marriage Garden, See the World Through My Eyes, Getting Our Hearts Right, and Blueprint for Happiness. Wally created a public television series called Guiding Children Successfully. He has written or cowritten many books including Drawing Heaven into Your Marriage, The Soft?Spoken Parent, and Bringing Up Our Children in Light and Truth, as well as a textbook on family life education. Wally helped revise and update Haim G. Ginott’s classic book Between Parent and Child. For Wally’s many contributions to helping families, he was awarded the Outstanding Family Life Educator Award by the National Council on Family Relations. Wally and his wife Nancy have three adult children and fourteen grandchildren.
