Ready, Set, Be Still

Growing up in Sweden, Fatima felt a prompting that she was needed in Utah but resisted acting on it—until President Monson himself invited her to move there. From learning English and running track at BYU to blogging and the adventure of motherhood, Fatty’s life has taken turns she never, ever anticipated. But along the way, the Lord has transformed her self-image, her faith, and her life into something beyond her imagination.

Fatima Dedrickson

Fatima is a mom of three and a lifestyle/fitness blogger. She was born in Sweden to parents from the Congo and grew up in a family of eight children. Fatima came to the United States on a prompting that she really wanted to ignore. But she packed, moved to Utah, learned English (in that order!), went to BYU, ran track, met her husband, got married, and now has three beautiful kids. Currently, she lives in Arizona with her little family and she organizes events to help women, especially moms, love, support, and celebrate themselves. Author residence: Mesa, Arizona
