Ears to Hear

A collection of mini-sermons that help you see gospel principles in a new light. Written to create the same effect as a parable, this unique teaching style will you help you think deeply about eternal truths and inspire change in your personal life.

This book draws upon principles of narrative and indirect communication to invite listeners to think differently about gospel principles. Most Latter-day Saints have not interacted with this form of teaching in any significant way.

Narrative homiletics is a theory of preaching that suggests sermons should mimic the experience of a story by creating intrigue, using imagery and indirect communication, and building to a climactic ending that invites the listener to ponder.
